Zunheboto, July 10 (MExN): Zunheboto Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a free medical camp at Akuluto and adjoining villages of Zunheboto district on July 9.
A press release from the HQ IGAR (North) stated a medical team from Assam Rifles in collaboration with Primary Health Centre representatives provided medical consultation and treatment to 180 residents. Free medicines were also distributed and the need for abiding by the safety precautions against Covid-19 imparted.
Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a medical camp at Yisemyang village, Mokokchung on July 8 and provided free medical consultation and treatment for minor ailments to the local residents, devoid of requisite medical facilities. Apart from medical assistance, basic awareness on hygiene and healthy lifestyle was also imparted.
In another event, the Zunheboto Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a free medical camp in Yimrup village, Tuensang on July 8. The medical team also visited homes of elderly residents, who were unable to attend the camp owing to health conditions. A total of 205 patients to include 114 Male, 71 Female and 20 Children benefitted from the camp.
Meanwhile, to facilitate and to address poor electricity connectivity, Shamatore Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) installed three solar lights for the local populace residing in Choklangan village.
