
DIMAPUR, JULY 7 (MExN): The Assam Rifles conducted a security meeting at Chenmoho Village in Mon District on July 5 attended by representatives from five villages. The meeting aimed to promote peace and harmony in the region and develop a sense of security among the local populace.

Issues related to regional security, information sharing for potential incidents, and coordination between security forces and the public were discussed. The attendees were informed about various job opportunities and recruitment in the Armed Forces, as well as ongoing projects in the area and the benefits of available medical facilities.

In another initiative, Assam Rifles organized a lecture on the benefits of government schemes and the procedures to avail them at Longran Village in Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh, on July 6. The event aimed to create awareness among villagers about various government schemes and how to utilize them effectively for personal and village development.

A total of 39 villagers attended the lecture, expressing their thanks to Assam Rifles for providing valuable guidance. A press release from the PRO informed that "the aim of the event was to create awareness amongst villagers regarding various government schemes and how effectively they can utilise them for the benefits of family as well as for the development of their village."
