AR conducts various initiatives

Dimapur, June 13 (MExN): In an effort to raise awareness and combat against child labour, the Assam Rifles undertook an educational lecture at Primary School, Pungro Town under Kiphire district. A press release stated that the event was aimed to educate the local community about the importance of preventing child labour and promoting children's rights. It was attended by 42 students, parents, and teachers. During the lecture, the speakers underscored the significance of education and the need for every child to have the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe environment. Following the lecture, a drawing competition was organized for the children on the theme, “A Child's Dream, A World without Child Labour.” The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the drawing competition.

Meanwhile at Wakching under Mon district, the Assam Rifles organised a football match between its troopers and the youth of Wakching on June 13. 

The event was conducted to promote sports culture among youth and villagers, a press report mentioned.
