AR creates online booth to assist local applicants

Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): In order to facilitate registration of local youth for the forthcoming Army Recruitment Rally at Kohima from April 5-7, the 18 Assam Rifles, 32 Assam Rifles and 37 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 6 Sector Assam Rifles has established ‘Online Registration/Application Booths’ at Jalukie, Dimapur and Medziphema respectively.   According to an AR press note, the facilities have been created in confirmation to the new recruitment rules promulgated by the Army and with an objective to assist tohse stating in remote area of these districts. Interested candidates belonging to areas in and around Jalukie, Dimapur and Medziphema may utilize this facility which will be effective till March 26, it added.   It further informed that the units will also be conducting a four week Pre-recruitment Training for interested candidate from March 16 which will provide requisite training for the Recruitment Rally. For further assistance, candidates are requested to contact the Assam Rifles Camp near their villages.   Earlier, similar facilities were established at these places for Army Recruitment Rally conducted which was instrumental in registration of about 300 candidates, the AR maintained. AR eye camp at Tizit Altogether 91 patients were treated by a team of eye specialist and paramedical staff during an eye camp at Tizit on February 13. The camp was organised by 33 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 7 Sector Assam Rifles.   In a delayed press note, the AR informed that it was part of its continuous efforts to reach out to the needy and medically deprived section of the society.Many patients came from far flung areas and the local populace lauded the AR’s effort, it added.
