Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): The 6 Sector Assam Rifles will conduct an Assam Rifles ex-servicemen rally at Kashiram Basti, Dimapur from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on October 20. The rally is aimed at reaching out to the Assam Rifles ex-servicemen belonging to districts of Dimapur and Peren.
A press release informed that the rally will provide Assam Rifles ex-servicemen an opportunity to resolve their grievances related to pensions, canteen facilities, medical facilities or any other aspects concerning them. The event will include stalls manned by representatives of Pension Cell, Record Branch, Pay and Allowance Office, Assam Rifles Ex-servicemen Association (ARESA) and State Bank of India. For resolution of any other issue a General Grievance Cell will be established, where specific problems of Assam Rifles ex-servicemen will be registered and on the spot advice will be provided. For welfare of ex-servicemen, an Aadhaar Card Stall, Canteen Smart Card Stall, Waste Management Stall, ICICI Bank Stall, Postal Branch Stall and employment forum will also be established.
To address the medical issues of Assam Rifles ex-servicemen, a Medical Camp will also be conducted alongside the ex-servicemen rally wherein free checkup and free medicines will be disbursed. It will also provide facilities of an eye specialist, ENT specialist, dentist, and female doctor.
Cultural events and felicitation of Veer Naris/ Gallantry Award Winners/ War Veterans has also been planned as part of the event. Apart from districts mentioned above, any other ex-servicemen belonging to Nagaland may also form part of the event. There will also be lunch for the ex-servicemen.
