
Kohima, June 16 (MExN): A motivational lecture to join the Indian Army was conducted under the aegis of 40 Assam Rifles/ HQ 7 Sector Assam Rifles in Tuensang recently.
Col MK Singh, Director recruiting, ARO Rangapahar delivered the lecture at St John’s School and CKS Hall, Tuensang on June 12, where more than 650 youths and students attended. The lecture was conducted at Sao Chang College, Tuensang on June 13 with attendance of more than 110 college going students, informed a press release from Col C Konwer, PRO (Defence).
Col MK Singh highlighted the various job avenues in the Indian Army and required standards to join both as Soldier and Officers. He explained the procedure of passing written exam, physical test and medical examination. He also clarified the participants’ queries and warned them against touts who fool them in pretext of helping them join the profession.
Meanwhile, Singh encouraged the brave young Naga boys and girls to exercise their option to join as officers and “Live a Life Less Ordinary,” the release added. The lectures concluded with screening of motivational video which gave a glimpse of life in Army as soldiers and officers.
