AR organises lectures for students

Noklak, July 30 (MExN): The 15 Assam Rifles organised a seminar on preventive measures on HIV/AIDS for students of Holy Angel's School, Govt High School, Christian High School and Primary Health Centre, Noklak at Public Football Ground, Noklak on July 29. A total of 400 students attended the seminar during which the medical team of Primary Health Centre emphasized on the preventive measures and precautions to be taken against such diseases.  

Earlier, the 15 Assam Rifles also organised a lecture on preventive measures of HIV/AIDS at Straightway Mission School, Dan on July27. A total of 60 students attended the lecture which dwelled on causes leading to the diseases and its ill effects. The medical team further emphasized on the preventive measures and precautions to be taken against the disease.  

Meanwhile, the 5 Assam Rifles organized a “Motivational Lecture” for young minds of Longkhim village, Tuensang on July 27. The aim of the lecture was to enlighten the students on the importance of education in their future, a defence press release stated. Students were encouraged to take up higher education and plan their career based on their passion, interests, strengths and skills. Subsequently, the youth were also apprised of various kinds of entry scheme to join the Armed Forces for both boys and girls. A total of 65 students attended the lecture.
