AR organises various progs across state

The students and teachers of St. Clare School, Akuluto, Zunheboto with Zunheboto Battalion of Assam Rifles after a lecture cum awareness programme on “Clean and Green Nagaland” on November 3.
  Zunheboto / Kohima November 4 (MExN): The Assam Rifles conducted a series of awareness programme in Kohima and Zunheboto over the past few days.   Zunheboto Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a lecture cum awareness programme on “Clean and Green Nagaland” at St. Clare School, Akuluto, Zunheboto on November 3, attended by 5 teachers and 110 students. The aim of the lecture was to impart awareness on keeping the surroundings clean and preserve nature for the future generation.   Assam Rifles Public School, Kohima under the aegis of HQ IGAR North) organized a “Collage Making Competition” for students of Standard 6 to 10 on the occasion of Vigilance week at Assam Rifles Public School, Kohima on October 31. 18 teachers and 60 students participated in the competition.   Kohima Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organized a motivational lecture on Joining Indian Army at G Rio School, Kohima on November 3.   Students were briefed regarding the prospects of joining the Indian Army after graduation. Eligibility criteria like age, qualification, physical standard etc, were also covered. Various entry schemes were elaborately covered apart from other aspects like pay and privileges, lifestyle and growth opportunities. In another event, a weapon display was organized to provide a firsthand experience on the about various weapons held by the Infantry units of the Indian Army. 8 teachers and 353 students participated.   Kohima Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organized Rashtriya Ekta Divas on the occasion of 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Ballabbhai Patel at 3 Naga Hill Battalion on October 31. All the troops and civil staff took pledge on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Divas. Integrity pledges were also taken to perform all tasks in an honest and transparent manner and to lead by example exhibiting integrity in personal behavior. A total of star 5 Officers, 18 Junior Commission Officers and149 other ranks attended the event.
