Phek, January 15 (MExN): 9 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) organised a free veterinary camp at Zuketsa village under ‘Op Sadbhavana’ on January 13. The aim of the camp was to provide free treatment to various domestic animals in Pfutsero sub-division where no veterinary facilities exist, informed a press release from Assam Rifles. The camp started at 10:30 am under the supervision of Veterinary Officer from 14 Mobile Field Veterinary Hospital and medical staff of 9 Assam Rifles. A total of 1059 animals, including dogs, cattle, goats, sheep, swine etc received the veterinary treatment. Free medicines were also provided for the animals.
