AR organizes student outreach activities

Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): Assam Rifles conducted a series of outreach and educational initiatives aimed at fostering community engagement and student development in Nagaland. In Dimapur district, the paramilitary force organized “A Day with Company Commander” under the theme Click with Courage, Shoot with Purpose on June 22 at Thilixu. The event was held for students of Inache Memorial English School, Thaheku, and featured photography and videography training, a dog show, storytelling sessions, and recreational activities. A total of 42 students, including 18 girls, along with school staff participated in the event.

In a separate initiative, the Assam Rifles Public School in Tuensang organized a four-day summer camp from June 18 to 21. The camp focused on cultural awareness, creative expression, and soft skills development. Activities included visits to local landmarks, drawing and painting sessions, storytelling, personality development talks, and public speaking. Students also took part in modules on local heritage and culture, with sessions aimed at boosting self-confidence, leadership, and artistic expression. Recreational games and team-building activities rounded off the programme.
