Mokokchung, March 13 (MExN): In an endeavour to promote the sports culture in the state, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) extended support to Christian Education Ministry of Kumlong Baptist Church during its Annual Sports Day on March 11. According to a defence release, the event witnessed enthusiastic and active participation from the students in the age group from 5 to 15 years. Col KS Kataria, Commandant 44 Assam Rifles who was chief guest at the opening ceremony took the opportunity to urge the youngsters to join Armed Forces, the release added.
