Assam Rifles conducted emergency medical assistance for locals affected by a sudden outburst of severe flu at Dan village, Noklak on August 24.

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): Responding to an urgent appeal from the village heads of Dan village, Assam Rifles on August 24 conducted emergency medical assistance for locals affected by a sudden outburst of moderate to severe flu like symptoms among a large number of locals in the border village of Dan at Noklak district of Nagaland.
The Assam Rifles along with the Regimental Medical Officer and a dedicated medical team, rushed to the village to provide critical aid. Recognizing the high number of patients, a medical aid camp was organized, and a makeshift field hospital was promptly set up at the Dan Community Centre, ensuring timely and effective care.
Seventeen patients were placed under observation for close monitoring and a total of 247 patients were provided medical aid. Assam Rifles' quick and compassionate response has greatly alleviated the situation, providing emergency aid to locals and preventing further spread of infection in nearby areas, a press release stated.
The emergency medical assistance camp is currently ongoing and Civil Administration Medical Team have also joined the efforts for providing necessary support.
