AR School Ghaspani new block inaugurated

Brig Ved Prakash, DIG, 5 Sector Assam Rifles, inaugurates the new building block of Assam Rifles High School at Ghaspani on December 28.
 
Dimapur, January 2 (MExN): With a vision to provide quality education and improvement of educational infrastructure, a new block was added to the Assam Rifles High School at Ghaspani on December 28, 2010.  The new building was named after Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and was inaugurated by Brig Ved Prakash, DIG, 5 Sector Assam Rifles.
A press note issued by Lt Col RP Velu, PRO, IGAR (N) informed that the new block is fully furnished and equipped with state of the art facilities like an audio visual room with interactive pads and E learning packages (E Tutor) for all the classes starting from UKG till Class tenth, computer class room with ten computer terminals, ergonomic furniture, class rooms with white Alkosign boards and marker pen for dust free teaching and speakers in all the classes along with personal announcement equipment for passage of instructions. The note stated that with the addition of such facilities, a mammoth rise in the quality of education is guaranteed. The school is affiliated to 24 Nagaland (I) Coy NCC, Kohima and also imparts Taekwondo and modern dance training to all its students which has 30 percent of its students from the neighboring villages of Medziphema. The battalion aspires to provide an all round personality development education so that the children can compete in any environment and find a footing for themselves. In his address, Brig Ved Prakash exhorted the students to be sincere, and make the most out of the facilities available at the school so that they groom themselves up to become a responsible and socially conscious citizen of the country. He also emphasized that good education to all is one of the most effective ways of solving the insurgency in the state.
