There shall not come a more opportune time like the present for Nagas to ultimately resolve its issues with the Central Government. We, the Naga Public should stand as a singular entity with coherent objective to propel GoI and Naga Factions to cease procrastinating and be hyper initiative to actualize the much awaited solution. This is the crucial moment we have been hoping for. Naga public might be of the belief that the general mass has no role to play. But on contrary, we most definitely do. It should be our creed that we ought to incentivize all the accounted parties through unwavering rallies building a crescendo till the Resolutions are legislated by the Central Government.
The biggest encumbrance that deprived early Nagas solution in the past was because of the difference in syllogism between Naga Factions and the Elected State Government. In the past, some intractable Naga politicians holding elected powers were obstinate to give away their standings to pave ways for conditional interim government should a resolution be finalized. The State have also sided more towards reluctance than taking a leap of faith where Naga Talks were concerned, in the past. But providentially, Nagas multi-party political form of government has recently been unified into a singular party system, with an intent to contribute collective political solution delving in the hibernating Naga Political Talks. This is the propelling force every Naga has been wishing for in our pipe-dream. And, but we have it now.
In addition, the Chief Minister of Nagaland, along with his Council of Ministers and Legislative Members has formally announced that they, the present Government will evacuate from their elected seats of power and validate a passageway for the interim government, should Naga Factions resolves Naga Issues with the Central Government. Through practical deeds, our Chief Minister has proven his tenacity by rousing the Central to expedite Naga Talks on his recent trip to New Delhi with various delegations and sole proposal.
This is the momentum that all the Nagas have been expecting, from the struggle that have aged more than three quarters of a century. Finally, we, Nagas can distinctly hear the bell tolling, bringing us peace and tranquillity. Nagas are hopeful, indeed, seeing that all the stars have ultimately reached a perfect alignment, the most critical moment for each and every abled body to take the plunge in whichever means one can contribute.
It should be an obligation and an honour for all Nagas not to forget the lives of every martyr who have laid their lives unreservedly for our better future. Failing to reach a solution, even after removing, once upon a time, an unsurmountable barrier would certainly be construed as an act of defiling the sacrifices made by Naga martyrs. The longer we protract and remain dormant, it depicts, the lesser we ennoble the sacrifices of patriotic lifeblood given by Naga Martyrs.
Why is it 'Now or Never'?
It's a given fact that should the Nagas Political Talk fail to reach a conclusion before 2023 General Election intervenes, the Naga Political Talk with GoI that is yet to be awoken from slumber, shall have to cease for five more years before the Elected Legislative Members complete their tenure. It'd be totally absurd to ask Elected Legislative Members to step down before the completion of their tenure after timeless investments in canvassing their constituents.
So, let us contemplate. At the moment, the ball is majorly in the Nagas' court. It is us Naga Public that has to be relentless in pressuring all parties to recommence The Talk from undue recess and collaborate to reach a decisive result. Unlike us, the Central Government does not have a time issue. They had been stretching these talks for more than two decades and so, prolonging few more years doesn't account much consideration in their point of view.
So, the only yet steadfast formula for us public to revive all parties, in the limited window, is to hearken for viable solution through uninterrupted rallies and platform speeches conveying the Common Naga Interests. Few months' time before General Election truthfully appears unjustifiable to conclude Naga Struggle, which has lasted more than two generations, but greater treaties than ours have been achieved in shorter duration.
Time should not be a factor as long as the whole of Naga population from every Districts raise rallies concurrently, one district at a time, without breaking a day.
Now, our fate basically lies in our deeds in immediate future!
