Kohima, June 26 (MExN): Acting on specific information about the presence of arms and ammunition in the general area of Sanasabi, Imphal East district of Manipur, the Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a joint search operation on June 26. The joint team also employed explosive detection dogs. After an extensive search, the team recovered, five bolt action 303 Rifles, two 12 Bore Guns, three Long Range Improvised heavy Mortars (Pompi), one 9mm Pistol, ammunition, and other war-like stores, stated an update from the AR. The recovered items were handed over to Manipur Police for further investigation and disposal.
