Kohima, March 17 (MExN): Arms license holders have been asked to generate Unique Identification Number (UIN) without which the licenses will become invalid. The deadline for the same is March 31, 2017.
The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Rajesh Suondararajan, in reference to the ongoing National Database of Arms License (NDAL), informed all holders of arms license issued from Kohima district to upload the details and generate the UIN. The DC has directed all the license holders who are yet to submit their details in the appropriate format for uploading on NDAL to do the same on or before March 29 from the DC’s office Kohima, after which all arms license which are not uploaded will be invalid.
Meanwhile, all arms license holders in Mokokchung district who have not furnished their detail for NDAL have also been informed to bring their arms license booklets and get their UIN from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Mokokchung before March 31. ADC of Mokokchung, Bendanglila has reminded license not registered under NDAL will be cancelled automatically.
In a separate press release, office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur informed all arms license holders to generate the UIN before March 31. “Those Arms Licenses without UIN will become invalid. Arms License holders whose UIN have not been generated may report to the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur before March 31 to avoid cancellation,” stated the release issued by Addl.
