
Kohima, May 19 (MExN): The Indian Army troops organised a COVID-19 awareness camp and distributed aid items in the remote villages of Tamenglong, Noney and Kangpokpi districts of Manipur on May 18.
According to a press release from PRO (Defence) Lt Col Sumit K Sharma, the programme was organized at the request of the villagers with the aim to alleviate their difficulties during the lockdown period. During the event, the Army Medical Officer educated the local population on various precautionary measures against the spread of COVID 19. Approximately, 225 families belonging from Langmali, Middle Katang, Rongkhong and Gelnel villages of these three districts benefitted from the drive.
