KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 24 (MExN): Red Shield Division of the Indian Army organized a two-day special yoga workshop on November 22 and 23 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Hornbill Festival at Zakhama Military Station, Kohima promoting health, harmony and heritage among the local community.

A press release issued by PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh informed that the yoga sessions were enthusiastically participated by over 250 persons including residents of the adjoining villages, soldiers and families. 

The sessions were led by Shivani Khanchi and Sachin Kotiyal, Yoga instructors from the Yoga Teacher Training Center (YTTC) Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The sessions emphasized upon the physical and mental benefits of yoga in modern life.

The event raised awareness about the importance of physical and mental well-being while celebrating the vibrant Naga culture. Participants embraced the holistic essence of yoga amidst the serene surroundings of the station, highlighting a spirit of community and well-being, the press release stated.
