KOHIMA, MARCH 1 (MExN): An Army Recruitment Rally primarily for the youth of Nagaland will held from May 18 to 23 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima for enrolment of male candidates into the Indian Army, informed a defense release today.
For candidates from Nagaland, vacancies are available for soldier general duty, soldier technical, soldier clerk/store keeper technical / inventory management, soldier nursing assistant and tradesmen categories, said the press release issued by PRO (Defence) Col C Konwer adding that screening of the candidates will be done as per admit card date depending on the total number of online application in each category.
Effort will be made to club district wise on the basis of production of Admit Card generated after applying online at joinindianarmy.nic.in, it said.
The candidates are advised to report at rally site at 5 A.M. strictly as per the dates given on admit card for the recruitment rally, the release informed further clarifying that a candidate can register and apply only once during the rally.
“If an individual is found to have applied twice, one of his applications will be cancelled. Candidates who have registered in the previous rally can login directly and check eligibility and apply fresh.”
The online application will open from March 19 to May 12 and the admit card will be generated by ARO, Rangapahar and candidates can print their Admit Card forwarded to them on their registered e-mail ID, the release said.
They can also log in with their id with joinindianarmy.nic.in & click on print out the Admit Card.
The tentative date for issuing admit card for the respective districts are as follows:
• May 18 candidates from Peren and Phek districts
• May 19 candidates from Kiphire, Zunheboto and Longleng districts
• May 20 candidates from Wokha and Mokokchung districts
• May 21 candidates from Tuensang and Mon districts
• May 22 candidates from Dimapur and Kohima districts
NCC cadets, sons of servicemen/ex-servicemen/ war widows will also appear as per the Admit Card dates, the release said.
The above dates are tentative, Districts wise screening test dates will be decided on May 13 by ARO Rangapahar on the basis of total number of applicants who have applied online, it added.
It further informed that written exam for soldier general duty, soldier technical, soldier clerk/store keeper technical / inventory management and tradesmen categories will be conducted at Rangapahar and soldier nursing assistant will be conducted at Recruiting Office Headquarter, Shillong on July 30.
Candidates are also advised to check the rally poster for age categories, certificates required and other details displayed at each DC Offices, notice board of PRO etc.
