Around 350 NIELIT students avail job fair in Dimapur

Dimapur, November 29 (MExN): NIELIT Kohima, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, organised a job fair event 2023 - Yuva Rojgar Manch-Sashakt Yuva, Sashakt Rashtra (Youth Employment Forum-Strong Youth, Strong Nation) for NIELIT students at Dimapur NIELIT on November 29.

During the event, a DIPR report stated that 25 prospective employers offered numerous job openings, primarily in Nagaland. Interviews were conducted for approximately 350 NIELIT students, comprising around 184 male candidates and the remaining female candidates. 

“The positive response from both candidates and employers underscores the potential and enthusiasm within Nagaland for such initiatives, marking a promising beginning and establishing a robust foundation for future employment opportunities,” it stated. 

NIELIT Kohima Director L Lanuwabang, emphasized in his address that these job fairs are strategic initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between skilled individuals and opportunities aligned with their expertise. “They empower students to secure fulfilling careers, contribute to organizational growth, and drive economic progress. The focus is on creating a virtuous cycle where skilled individuals gain employment opportunities, employers find qualified candidates, and the economy benefits from a more productive workforce,” he stated. 

NIELIT reaffirmed its commitment to organizing more job fairs in the upcoming years, facilitating Nagaland's youth with easy access to education and training in Electronics and Information Technology within a well-equipped infrastructure, DIPR added.
