Art and crafts Exhibition in Kohima concludes

Morung Express News Kohima | February 18   To promote young skilled talented artists and to pave a way for employment opportunities, the Incessant Welfare Society Nagaland (IWSN) has been organizing a three days art and craft exhibition cum sales at State Academy Hall, Kohima from February 16 to 18 where 14 young artists were able to showcase their artworks.  

The name of the artists are as follows, Khiem (19 years), Thejasezo Rame (19years), Vekhotso Puro (19 years), Khwütolü (22 years), Liza Yeptho (25 years), Shovezo Keyho (23 years), Muzung Yimchungrü (27 years), Cynthia Kolakhe, Alangpong Imchen (26 years), R. Avonuo Angami (25 years), Lipokmanen (20 years), Vinoto Yeptho, B. Thetong Buchem (33 years). Except for a few professionals, most of the artists are self-taught artists in painting, craftmaking and designing.   Azungla Imsong, President of the ISWN mentioned the importance of exhibitions which are crucial in putting youngsters to display their talents as well as giving the opportunity for the rest to witness.   ISWN is currently involved in imparting trainings for women and girls in apparel designing and cutting and tailoring in Dimapur.
