Dimapur, September 28 (MExN): In continuance of the ‘Hindi Day’ observed on September 14, ARTC & S celebrated Hindi Pakhwara (Fortnight) with effect from September 12 to 26.
In order to promote Hindi among the jawans belonging to non Hindi speaking areas, competitions were held for typing, noting-drafting, essay writing, poem recitation and elocution in Hindi at Shokhuvi from September 22 to 26, a press note said.
The note stated that No. 3 (Shokhuvi) Training Battalion secured the highest marks and was adjudged the best team. The participants who represented all North Eastern states and persons from Hindi speaking states put up a spirited and enthusiastic performance.
