Arunachal Guv wants heritage village in state

ITANAGAR, JUNE 10 (PTI): Arunachal Pradesh Governor J P Rajkhowa today suggested for a 'Heritage Village' in the state on the lines of Mawphlang Village of Meghalaya, where Prime MinisterNarendra Modi recently visited.   Interacting with a delegation of Galo Welfare Society (GWS) led by its president Mitum Boje at the Raj Bhawan here, Rajkhowa said the village would not only preserve and promote cultural richness of the state, but also attract tourists in large numbers, an official release said.   The GWS delegation submitted a 12-point memorandum to the Governor on several issues including inter-district road connectivity, creation of new districts and a Tribal Heritage Complex. The Governor said the elected representatives also must take up the connectivity issue at all levels.
