Kohima, January 6 (MExN): On the ninth day after it was first reported, the fire at Dzükou is said to be spreading towards the north side of the main valley, according to Kohima Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Ali Shihab A.

Addressing a review meeting on the ongoing Dzükou Fire Operation on Wednesday, the DC stated that the spread of fire was reported by Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots who are also part of the fire fighting operations, a DIPR report stated.

The report also stated that the meeting which was chaired by Nagaland Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, discussed the present scenario faced at the fire incident locations. Plans to increase fire line cutting for intensification of the operation and increasing the number of sorties with the IAF were also discussed at the meeting, the report stated.
