ASAN demand termination of ‘illegal’appointment before March 30

Dimapur, March 14 (MExN): The Agricultural Students’ Association of Nagaland (ASAN), in support of the steps taken by CTAN to curb the illegal appointment in the Department of Soil & Water Conservation has demanded “immediate termination of Avilie Nagi and H Agape Yeputhomi before March 30, 2022.”

According to ASAN, the “illegal” appointees have “been both holding the posts of Junior Soil Conservation Officer (JSCO) through contract which is meant to fall within the ambit of NPSC (Grade pay Rs 2800 and above), with scale pay of PB-2 Rs 9300-34800 & Grade pay Rs 4400 PM since 2016 till date under Soil & Water Conservation Department.”

ASAN through its media cell also demanded the requisition of the said posts for recruitment through NPSC. “The two incumbents have been depriving the rights of the eligible candidates for a long period despite numerous representations being submitted to the Department to right the wrong but their naked ambition and greed has only been laid bare when the recommendation for regularization by the Minister surfaced,” it alleged.

It reiterated the Department to consider the situation and expedite the matter at the earliest and added that ASAN, “in its full capacity and prerogatives will see to it that the careers of the hard-working aspirants would not be put at stake by few corrupt-mongering people.”
