ASHAs and MAS members trained in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, June 15 (MExN): National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) organised two-day orientation training for Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and Mahila Arogya Samiti (MAS) group members on communication skills and inter personal communication (IPC) for urban family household and disease profiling in Mokokchung urban area on June 13 and 14 at Ongpangkong Salang.  

The training started with a short speech by Dr. Kibangkumba, Deputy CMO, Mokokchung, who encouraged the workers to learn efficiently and work hard for the welfare of the district, informed a press release from District Programme Management Unit, NRHM, Mokokchung.  

After the two days training, the ASHAs and MAS with assistance from National Health Mission (NHM) staffs will be conducting house to house data collection drive from June 15 to 24.  

The resource persons of the programme were Supongbenla Lemtur, Deputy Director, IEC Bureau from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima, Dr. Meren Lemtur, Medical Officer, Tsurangkong, and Dr. Shalongba, MO, UPHC Mokokchung.
