Mokokchung| October 1 (MexN): The Ao Senden Literature Board (ASLB) organized a seminar on Ao language on the theme ‘Foundation and Development of Ao language’ at Mokokchung Municipal Council, Conference Hall, Mokokchung on October 1.
The resource persons at the seminar were Dr. Chubatola Aier, Principal C-Edge College Dimapur, Dr. Pangersenla, Asst Prof Department of Linguistics, Nagaland University, Meriema, Kohima and Dr. Temsunungsang, Asst. Prof. Dept. of Linguistics, English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Shillong. Prof. A. Lanunungsang chaired the three session seminar and delivered the keynote address. Members of Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang, ABAM Literature and Education Board, Press Club of Mokokchung and Ao Senden Literature Board were the attendees in the seminar.
Dr. Chubatola spoke on “History of Ao language- Process of Development, Change,Present Scenario, Positive & Negative- Trends for the future”; Dr. Pangersenla on “Aspects of Language change, Maintenance and Development” and Dr. Temsunungsang on “ What is language? Characteristics of language”. The seminar was sponsored by Takowati Jamir, Language Officer, Kohima.
