Guwahati, March 16 (MExN): The Chief Ministers of Assam and Nagaland on March 16 discussed matters of mutual interest for both states as well as the North East.
“HCM Dr. @himantabiswa met his Nagaland counterpart, Shri @Neiphiu_Rio, at Hotel Radisson Blu, Guwahati, this morning," the Assam Chief Minister's Office (CMO) posted on X early Sunday .
“The discussion focused on matters of mutual interest for Assam, Nagaland, and the entire Northeastern region, along with warm exchanges of greetings,” it added.
CM Rio is in Guwahati for the Chief Ministers from North Eastern States with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, scheduled on Sunday, to review the implementation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in the region.
“Earlier today, I had a good discussion with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri @Neiphiu_Rio Ji, who is in Guwahati to attend the Conference of Chief Ministers from North Eastern States,” Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma later updated on X.
HM Shah, currently on three-day tour of Assam and Mizoram, will conclude his visit Sunday evening.
