Zunheboto, March 18 (MExN): On March12, 5 Assam Rifles apprehended one NSCN (K) cadre from Project colony, Zunheboto. One pistol and extortion notes were recovered from him. According to a press note from Assam Rifles, the apprehended cadre was identified as Wilson H Chishi, Regional Secretary, Sumi Region. The apprehended cadre was later handed over to the Police.
Liquor seized
In a separate incident, 5 Assam Rifles seized 418 bottles of Rum MC Dowell and 205 Kingfisher can beer, costing approximately Rupees 77,000/-, from a vehicle at Anangba village, Zunheboto on March 15. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Md Abdul Fatta, 28, from Nagaon, Assam. The driver along with recoveries has been handed over to Longkhim Police Station.
