DIMAPUR, JANUARY 8 (MExN): Troops of 37 Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police apprehended one alleged cadre of NSCN (IM) from Chumukedima on January 5. The operation was launched based on information received by the AR regarding extortion activities at the Chumukedima Mela, a press release from the AR stated.
The person identified as Ricky Ao (Maotemsu), 27, of Chumukedima was apprehended along with one Pt 22 Pistol with 07 live rounds and two mobile phones. According to the note, the person claimed to be a cadre of NSCN (IM). The cadre along with recovered items was handed over to Diphupar Police Station, it added.
