Dimapur, January 17 (MExN): Different Battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted lectures at different districts from January 14 to 17.
Wokha Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted lecture on ‘career opportunity’ at COB Tseminyu on January 17. The lecture included insights on various opportunities available in the Armed Forces and the importance of skill development towards broadening one’s career. 30 students and youths attended the lecture.
Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles organized a lecture on ‘Stay Fit Stay Health’ at Anatongre on January 15. The lecture covered the importance of healthy diet and the benefits of staying fit. The participants were also made aware of common diseases which results out of unhealthy lifestyle. 20 youths attended the lecture.
Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles organized a lecture on ‘Clean and Green Nagaland’ on January 15 at Longmatre. The lecture covered the benefits of hygiene and sanitation for one’s health and for the society in general. 18 residents including GBs attended the lecture.
Zunheboto Battalion and Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on ‘Join the Indian Army’ for students of Government High School, Zunheboto, Haraka School and GPS Tening on January 14 and 15 respectively. The aim of the lecture was to generate awareness amongst students about the eligibility criteria, various types of entry schemes, pay and emoluments, training and various career opportunities available in the Armed Forces. 123 students from Government High School, Zunheboto and 40 students from Haraka School and GPS Tening attended the lecture.
