Tuensang, January 13 (MExN): Tuensang Battalion and Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted lectures on two occasions on January 12 and 10.
On the occasion of National Youth Day, Tuensang Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (North) organized a career counseling lecture at Angjangyang village, Mon district on January 12. During the lecture the post commander highlighted the life and achievements of Swami Vivekananda and his contribution to the society. The youths were motivated to gain education and work towards upliftment of the society in a positive way. It was attended by 20 youths of the village including village guards.

Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted lecture on HIV/AIDS for local residents of Tuli on January 10. The aim of the lecture was to create public awareness about HIV/AIDS epidemic and its preventive measures, a press release stated.
Misconceptions related to the spread of HIV/ AIDS and also the need for empathy towards the ailing were covered. 23 senior students including one teacher of View Valley Academy School, Tuli attended the lecture.
