Assam Rifles leads cleanliness drives

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 10 (MExN): In a continued effort to promote cleanliness and community welfare, the Assam Rifles conducted two impactful cleanliness drives in Nagaland under the Swachhata Hi Seva and Swachhata Pakhwada initiatives.

At IG Stadium in Kohima, the Assam Rifles collaborated with 20 sportspersons from the stadium’s sports hostel to undertake a comprehensive cleanliness drive. 

The participants focused on cleaning the stadium premises, nearby streets, and surrounding areas, emphasizing the importance of sanitation in public spaces. The drive, aligned with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, aimed to raise awareness about the significance of hygiene and to inspire collective responsibility. 

Meanwhile, in Dimapur’s Thilixu Village, the Assam Rifles organized another cleanliness drive at the Village Council Hall Complex on December 9. Joined by 40 villagers, including Gaon Buras, village authorities, and local youth, the event focused on waste management and fostering sustainable practices within the community.
