Assam Rifles organize medical camp

Zunheboto, February 20 (MExN): 5 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 7 Sector Assam Rifles conducted a veterinary camp at Khitsakita village in Zunheboto district on February 14. The camp was conducted by the medical team of 14 Mobile Veterinary Hospital, Rangapahar.   According to a press release from Assam Rifles, altogether, 623 livestock (122 goats, 156 pigs, 86 cows, 107 dogs and 152 poultry) were examined and medicines given free of cost to the owners.

  Meanwhile, the 5 Assam Rifles also organised a medical camp at Aghunato village in Zunheboto on February 15. The medical staff of 5 Assam Rifles treated 345 patients of the area and distributed free medicines to the patients during the camp.   National Rural Health Mission team of District Hospital, Zunheboto led by Doctor Puloto, Medical Officer, Aghunato Community Health Centre (CHC) and their supporting staff provided assistance in the camp, the release added.
