Assam Rifles provides solar lights at Bhandari Village

Bhandari, February 16 (MExN): 17 Assam Rifles donated five solar street lights to the villagers of Bhandari village under Assam Rifles Civil Action Programme on February 14, 2014. A press release from Assam Rifles informed that the villagers emphasized on how the donation would help in improving the working condition in the village which seldom get electricity. They also highlighted the assistance provided by Assam Rifles for the welfare of the villagers and assured full cooperation and support to the Assam Rifles, it added.
 
AR endeavours to empower Jotsoma youth
In an attempt to further strengthen the bond of friendship with the youths of Jotsoma village, 19 Assam Rifles distributed six computer set with accessories on behalf of 60 Engr Regt at High School, Jotsoma on February 14 under Op Sadbhavna Military Civic Action Project. The High School authority expressed their gratitude and appreciated the thoughtfulness of the armed forces, a press release from AR said.

AR donates sewing machine

46 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 5 Sector Assam Rifles donated ten sewing machines to the villagers of Ketsapumi village under Assam Rifles Military Civil Action Programme on February 11. Assam Rifles in a press release asserted that the assistance will empower local women economically. It added that Assam Rifles has completed a number of civic action projects for benefit of the local populace and it was assured to the civil populace that more such development projects will be taken up in future too and “Assam Rifles is for the people and will always strive for maintaining peace and bringing development and prosperity of the area.”
