The installation ceremony of the new team of Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat (AKMWP) for the tenure September 2020 to 2025 took place here today at Agri/Forest Ward No 17.
The new team included; president- Neibulie Kiewhuo, vice president- Beizo Solo, general secretary- Thejao Sekhose, joint secretary- Lima Imsong and Ahovi Swu, publicity & information secretary- Vibeilie Metha, finance secretary- Kapun Tep, treasurer- Khrielakuo Sekhose.
Hukato Chishi has been proposed as legal advisor and advisory board members include James Liezietsu, Keduotuolie Mepfhii-o and Dozhiihu.
Earlier, the function was chaired by Lima Imsong while welcome address was delivered by NZ Makritsu, chairman Ward No.17.
Introduction of office bearers was made by Akhie Liezietsu, convenor nomination committee while Kohima village head GB Medo Keretsu pronounced blessings.
Dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Dr. Kevichalie Metha, pastor Peraciezie Baptist Church Kohima while vote of thanks was proposed by Visa Meru, member Nomination Committee.
