Liquor Destruction Committee Phek along with other organization destroys bottles of assorted IMFL & beer in Phek on February 12.
Phek: Total 303 bottles of assorted IMFL & beer was destroyed in Phek on February 12. Phek Excise personnel seized the destroyed IMFL & Beer during the year 2013, stated a press release issued by Phek, Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition S. Chanlei Angh.
The seized items were destroyed by Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition Phek and Chairman Liquor Destruction Committee Phek S. Chanlei Angh along with other Committee members consisting of Hollohon SDO (civil), OC Police Station Phek, Ranyi Vero President Phek town Colony chairman Forum, Mothers Association Phek and in presence of excise staff and other public.
During a brief programme before the destruction, the President of the Phek town colony Chairman Forum expressed happiness to the Excise department for conducting such destruction programme, which indicates that the department is active in Phek district. He further stated that this is first time that such kind of liquor destruction program is being held in Phek town. He also assured fullest co-operation to the department in fighting against Liquor menace in the district.
Nozulu Chakhesang who prayed for the programme also expressed happiness and assured co-operation to the department on behalf of the mothers of Phek.
