Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): The office of Ao Senso Telongjem Bangalore (ASTB) and Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Bangalore (AKTB) on Friday, has requested people from the Ao community residing in Bangalore to register with the unions.
In a press release, the two organizations stated that ASTB and AKTB, along with the Naga Students Union Bangalore (NSUB), is the first port of call during emergencies like hospitalizations or unfortunate deaths for assistance and coordination with the concerned local authorities, fellow Naga tribe unions or families.
“When such aforementioned incidents occur, non-enrolment of names poses a massive challenge for ASTB and AKTB as the officials and members have to make proper verifications, contact the families and concerned authorities, and move from pillar to post just to complete simple formalities,” it said.
As such, it requested the parents and guardians to advice their wards to immediately enroll with either AKTB or ASTB if they have not done so already.
“Despite the repeated reminders and requests, if any individual does not enroll with the union, they or their family should not have any resentment against the union if the union is not able to provide assistance during sickness, emergencies, etc,” it added.
