Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): The Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has vehemently condemned the “brutal act” of the State government, where the security personnel fired rounds, resulting in the death of two innocent youths and inflicting injuries to several persons in Dimapur as well as in Longleng. The ASTD in a press note also slammed the State government of betraying the people and the Church leaders by taking a “U-turn on the tripartite agreement leading to the fall out of the violent incidents in the various parts of the State.” Further, ASTD conveyed solace to the parents and bereaved family members of the brave sons, who made the supreme sacrifices for the Nagas, and also prayed for the speedy recovery to those injured. The ASTD also appealed to all Naga tribes to work in unison and brotherhood so that to overcome such challenges which may be detrimental to the future generation.
