DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 8 (MExN): The Angami Students' Union (ASU) has directed one Md Ali Hussain and his family to “vacate” the jurisdiction of the Angami community within days effective February 6 on allegations that the individual has “engaged in activities fundamentally detrimental to the peace and wellbeing of society.”
A press release from the ASU claimed that the individual “was found actively assisting and facilitating the entry of undocumented individuals into our land, an act that directly threatens our communal security, demographic integrity and the future of our indigenous people.”
The ASU accused him of “owning and operating a commercial vehicle under the registration and name of a Naga individual, willfully exploiting local tribal protections and economic privileges intended exclusively for our community.”
“He attempted to lure and manipulate local citizens into providing false testimonies in his favor and provided blatant falsehoods to the Union authorities within the office premises, showing a total lack of integrity,” it added.
The ASU further stated that “he showed utter contempt for our traditional institutions by willfully ignoring official summons and continuing to operate the barred vehicle in open defiance of the Union's standing directive.”
The ASU declared the individual and his family as “persona non grata within the land of the Angamis.” It meanwhile advised the district administration that no Inner Line Permit (ILP) or renewals shall ever be granted to the individual, his family, his future generations or any related kin.”
The ASU called upon all concerned unions, village authorities and the public to remain vigilant against such deceptive practices and to report any misuse of local identities.
