Kohima: The Angami Students Union (ASU) is all set to conduct a clear census/survey of the non-locals residing in Kohima.
The motive behind the move is to keep a check on the influx of illegal immigrants (which is increasing extremely) vis-à-vis enabled the legal immigrants to live in a rightful manner, ASU official release stated here today.
In the event of this development, the Union subsequently will issue a Registration Card to all the Non-Locals engaged in various activities, for a clear and proper understanding. In this connection, ASU informed all the non locals to obtain the card and also more necessary information from ASU office on or before February25, failing which, ASU will not be held responsible for any future consequences.
This was stated in a release issued by the Union’s vice president Sedeneikho Suosahie and general secretary Khrielievi Chusi.
