DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 2 (MExN): The Athibung Running Club (ARC) was established today with the aim to identify and train potential talented youths from the region who can perform at state and national levels in different sports.
A press note from Lhingneilhai Singson, media officer, ARC informed that every year the club will provide sports scholarship to one youth from region and guide him/her in achieving the club's aim.
“This club will also actively participate in other social and community work to uplift the standard of the society. Apart from potential talent hunt this club will also monitor and guide the youths in their 10th and 12th standard,” it added.
Six founder members (3 permanent & three tenure based) will run the club, it was informed. Henpu Khongsai, Haominsat Guite and Lhingneilhai Singson are the permanent members, the ARC said.
