The athletics event of the 2nd Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2022 has been completed today at India Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
4X400M Mixed Relay marked the conclusion of the athletics event today.
In this event, Peren emerged Gold while Phek and Kohima bagged Silver and Bronze respectively.
Peren, represented by Peiheiteile Isalung, Neishemaoneau Konyak, Teninglakpi and Poulinlung finished in 04:03:91.
The Phek team, represented by Vephilü Hoshi, Valenulü Tetseo, Nekhoto Tinyi and Mulusayi Medeo finished second at 04:09:24.
Meanwhile Kohima, represented by Ruoduolhounuo Belho, Pelekhonuo, Lhouvisalie Mere and Kevise Belho came in third finishing in 04:16:05.
Theja Meru, Advisor for Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Nagaland handed over medals and citations to the winners during medal ceremony.
In another event of the day, Neiketoulie Belho of Kohima bagged Gold in Long jump (Men) with a record of 6.71 meters.
Medovito Sale, also representing Kohima bagged Silver with a record of 6.20 meters.
Widambo Renta of Peren bagged the bronze medal. His leaped a distance of 6.00 meters.
The athletics event was conducted by the Nagaland Athletics Association.
