Kohima, November 30 (MExN): The Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Nagaland conducted the valedictory programme for the one-year Foundation Course of the Nagaland Civil Service (Probationers) Batch of 2024 on November 29 at ATI Kohima.
Sixteen officer trainees of the Nagaland Civil Service have been undergoing the one-year training programme at ATI since December 2024. The programme was chaired by Kaholi Sema, Joint Director, ATI, while a brief report of the training was presented by Dr A. Alem W. Longchar, Assistant Director and Course Coordinator.
Two officer trainees shared their experiences from the training, which included classroom sessions, departmental and organisational attachments, Bharat Darshan exposure trips to Kerala, West Bengal and Tripura, and physical fitness activities. They expressed their desire to serve society with compassion and empathy.
Delivering the special address, V Shashank Shekhar, IAS, Director General, ATI and Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) and Agricultural Production Commissioner, conveyed his best wishes to the officer trainees in their professional and personal journeys. He urged them to uphold the hard work that had brought them to the service and acknowledged the contributions of their families, friends and communities in their success. He called on the trainees to give back to society by setting examples of integrity, dedication and service.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining good health and nurturing relationships, adding that public service should always be guided by a larger vision for the welfare of people and society.
The programme concluded with the formal closing of the Foundation Course.
