Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): ATMA Dimapur, Aghunaqa block launched a Piggery Farm School at Zutoi village on November 3, with Iheto Yeptho, a progressive farmer as its teacher. The concept of farm school and its importance was discussed by the BTM, Vinatoli. This was followed by demonstration of waste decomposer by ATM Mikato Shohe. ATM, Aketoli Chophy earlier conducted training at Shiwoto village on the topic ‘Package and Practices of Knol Khol’ and showed live demonstration on nursery bed preparation of chillies. She also demonstrated types of mulching by using locally available raw materials such as dried banana leaves, straw etc and highlighted its benefits and advantages at Nitozu village. Mobilization of farmers were conducted in these villages where women folks were sensitized about the functioning and benefits of SHGs. Winter vegetable seeds were also distributed to the all participants.
