Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Dimapur, Medziphema block conducted demonstration and mobilization of farmers group at Molvom and Bungsang villages on November 5. A press release from ATMA Medziphema block stated that at Molvom village, BTM Medziphema Block, Chubanaro Jamir gave a brief introduction on the primary purpose of SHGs and sensitized the women farmers on the roles and functioning of SHGs. She also elaborated on the maintenance of good record keeping and encouraged the members to establish linkages and networking with the banks and other department. James Kikon, ACTO, KVK (ICAR) & BTT convener He stressed on the importance of building trust within the group and maintain transparency. Demonstration was also conducted on cultivation practices of arhar intercropped with pineapple, and nursery seed bed preparation of cabbage and line sowing of all round variety of maize and Direct sowing method of field pea intercropped with pineapple at Bungsang village.
