ATMA conducts training at Chenmoho

Mon, May 18 (MExN): A training programme on “Integrated Farming System” was conducted by ATMA Mon on May 17 at Chenmoho, Mon.  

During the training, resource person Asangla Ozukum (BTM) explained about the definition of integrated farming system (IFS) and spoke on the problems of present day agriculture and how IFS can be the solution for the farmers. Altogether 23 farmers attended the training programme, a press release informed.  

Ozukum also stressed on the components of IFS, scope of IFS and some few examples of IFS like crop-livestock- fishery farming system, crop- livestock - fishery-vermicomposting farming system, agri-silvi-apiary system etc. were explained in detail. She noted that IFS can become a profitable and viable industry in a country like ours where economy is largely based on agriculture.
