Dimapur, June 9 (MExN): ATMA-Dhansiripar block conducted a ‘within district farmers training on seed storage and testing’ at District Agriculture Officer’s (DAO) office, Dimapur on June 1 with Longshithung Lotha, Technician, Seed Testing Lab, Agriculture Department, Dimapur as the resource person. He explained in detail about the importance of moisture during seed storage and their management. Seed storage is the maintenance of high seed germination and vigour from harvest until planting. The farmers were then taken to the seed testing laboratory where they were shown how the seed testing were done and the techniques involved.
