Jalukie, July 8 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Jalukie block under Peren district inaugurated a banana farm school in Jalukie Town on June 28. The farm school was inaugurated by Dileu Nsarangbe, District Horticulture Officer and convenor ATMA Jalukie block, while the concept of farm school and functions of ATMA was highlighted by Aola Tzudir, Block Technology Manager. Pauchikap was appointed as the farm school teacher, informed a press release received here.
ATMA Jalukie block also organized a training and demonstration on establishment of banana orchard and field management on June 30. Resource person Ibotui, Horticulture Extension Assistant, Peren explained about the importance of banana in India as one of the major and economically important fruit crops. He imparted knowledge about the suitable soil type, land preparation and planting material in banana farming, the release added.
