ATMA Kohima conducts interstate farmers’ exposure

Kohima, June 20 (MExN): ATMA Kohima conducted interstate farmers’ exposure cum training to MD Organic Farm, Jorhat on June 16 and 17 with the objective of facilitating progressive farmers by exposing them to latest farming technologies, better farm practices and innovations.  

Samir Bordoloi, Programme Manager, Farm to Food foundation and Organic Agriculture Consultant was the main resource person where the farmers were taught about making in situ farm bio fertilizers, bio-pesticides, bio- intensive raised beds, vermi composting and other low cost production technologies with available on farm resources. 

Farmers were also taught about scientific dairy farm, Azolla culture, concept of rooftop gardening and scientific layout of garden with optimum space utilization. All together 17 progressive farmers including ATMA officials participated.
